- I believe I may be be one of the few people in the country who voted for Barry Goldwater in 1964, and George McGovern in 1972. I would love to hear from anyone else in this select group of elder statesmen. Clearly my political philosophy underwent a major transformation at some point. I am interested in being part of the conversation in the upcoming election. Additionally, I spent seven years in a Roman Catholic Seminary in Baltimore in the 1960's.
